etirement? While I’m over a decade away from
retiring I would guess that anyone over 50 begins
to think about it. When do I see myself retiring?
What will my life look like? What will I do with all
that time? Will I downsize? As a self-confessed junky
of HGTV’s series Tiny House Hunters, I’m still
not sold that I could downsize to something that
small, although a more maintenance free lifestyle
is appealing.
I often joke that home ownership is overrated.
Home ownership equals home maintenance aka work!
While Fall is undoubtedly a beautiful time in the
Capital Region it’s also when the temperatures begin
to drop, the leaves fall off and we begin to gear up for
Winter. Fall means raking those leaves, taking down
the umbrellas and patio furniture, and oh let’s not
forget…closing up the pool. For my husband and I,
it’s also the time of year to make sure we have enough
wood, get the chimneys cleaned, the wood stacked
and the oil tanked filled…aka home maintenance.
