Vich is a partner at Garrigues. During the financial
crisis that impacted the hospitality industry during
the period 2008-2014, he was the co-leader of the team
who managed the first big dispute regarding ‘rebus
sic stantibus’ and hardship clauses. His client received
an award reducing rent payments for 16 hotels by
more than €30m. Vich also advised on the updating
of the theory of rebus sic stantibus in Spain. As part
of this project, he led a review of the lease payments
of more than 20 hotels across Spain, reducing rent by
more than €33m and generating profits of more than
€40m by reducing the term of cont
