Derek W. Smith
Derek Smith Jr. is a businessman with background expertise in risk management, auditing, photography
and brand management. He is the owner of Impact Images & Designs and is currently employed as the
Assistant Vice President and Fiduciary Risk Officer at Cititrust (Bahamas) Limited. His professional career
began at Deloitte in 2000. Derek’s Public Relations career has brought him to greater heights with his
personal businesses surrounding this focal point and as he has worked with various national campaigns.
He has previously served as PR Chair Junior Achievement, The Rotary Club of Old Fort and Nassau
Bahamas National Pan-Hellenic Council. His versatility is also seen in the community as he is/was actively
involved in civic and youth development programs including but not limited to Junior Achievement,
Gentlemen’s Club, Caribbean Youth Program, Rotary and his fraternity (Phi Beta Sigma) where he serves as
the President. He was also charter president of the first Black Greek Letter Organization (BLGO) in 2004 at
The College of The Bahamas now University of The Bahamas. Finally, he has served as Bahamas Caribbean
Youth Ambassador to the Caribbean Youth Program in Jamaica at the age of 19. He is married to Lashanta
and they have three boys, Derek III, Liam and Kai.
Greg Smith
Greg Harry Smith was born and raised in New Providence, The Bahamas. He attained his high school
education from Faith Temple Christian Academy where he graduated as Deputy Head Boy of his
class in 2009. During his senior year in high school he decided to explore his passion for news
reporting which led to him to take on an internship at the Tribune News Network where he got his
first introduction to the world of journalism. This experience fueled his desire toattend The University
of The Bahamas (UB) where he later graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree in Mass
Communications. Shortly after graduating from UB he entered the local field of journalism as a writer
and news broadcaster with Jones Communications Network/Love97 Radio. Prior to and during his
time in mainstream media he also worked for Precision Media Agency as a public relations writer.
Since then, Greg has taken his years of experience and expertise into the tourism industry where he’s
currently employed in the field of Casino Marketing. In addition to his commitment to his career, Greg
also dedicates his time and talents to his love for Bahamian culture as a proud member of The
Bahamas National Youth Choir. He credits his life's journey and achievements to the positive role
models in his life and the unwavering love and blessings of God.
Ianthia Smith
Ianthia is a freelance Bahamian journalist, TV host and producer, travel and lifestyle blogger.
She’s the host of The BTC TV Show, Island Luck’s Chef It Up, producer of local TV and web
shows A Mouth Full, The Click and The Feed, host and creator of the YouTube Show
Personal Spaceand owner of the MiniSkirts and Microphones blog (www.ianthia-smith.com),
an influence marketer and brand ambassador. Ianthia has worked at every major media
house in The Bahamas as a reporter, newspaper writer and TV news anchor, while her work
has also been featured on five international websites and magazines, grabbing the attention
of editors, writers and bloggers worldwide.She was recently featured in Essence May 2017
magazine as one of their Instagram faves!
Santosha Smith
Smith joined the Winterbotham Trust Company Limited in September of 2000, during this time she
has developed her career within the Banking and Finance Department from the role of Junior
Accountant to the position that she currently holds, Manager Santosha. Santosha is a firm believer
that a team is only as strong as its weakest link; therefore she places a great deal of focus on
developing her team. After reading a quote by Jack Welsh, “Before you are a leader, success is all
about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others”, she was
inspired to become that great leader through the continued coaching and support of her team.
Santosha was nominated in 2016 as one of the Financial Services Industry Professionals of the Year
and she is also an active member of The Kiwanis Clubs of the Bahamas serving as a Director of
Nassau A.M. club.
