4Guys Magazine caught up with Biondi to
discuss his books, their popularity and the
prognosis for expanding the brand.
Michael W. Sasser: Tell our readers about
your background as a a writer and author.
Jake Biondi: I have been writing my entire
life. As a child, I wrote lots of short stories
and my interest in storytelling only grew as
I got older. Throughout high school and
college, I wrote more short stories as well
as plays and screenplays. BOYSTOWN is
my first published work and I am so grateful
for the public’s response to the series.
MWS: Tell our readers about your
BOYSTOWN book series. What is it about?
JB: The BOYSTOWN book series follows
several couples living in Chicago’s famed
Boystown neighbourhood.
The Mancini brothers - as well as their
friends and significant others - are at the
core of BOYSTOWN. Emmett Mancini, the
youngest of the brothers, is a bright,
caring guy whose boyfriend Keith Colgan
has a past Emmett knows little about…
yet. Derek Mancini, and his wife Joelle, are
BOYSTOWN’s straight couple, but a
recent encounter with hunky Cole O’Brien
could have life altering consequences
for Derek. When Justin Mancini, the
oldest brother, returns to Chicago, he brings
with him a family history that both Emmett
and Derek were hoping to forget. Before
long, BOYSTOWN’s newest residents Cole
O’Brien and Jesse Morgan find themselves
at the core of the drama and intrigue that
make up this adult playground.
BOYSTOWN Season Two introduces the
Cianco family that has a long standing feud
with the Mancini family to the series. The
conflicts between the two families keep the
twists and turns coming for readers.
