The cantilever construction progressed over 500 metres from each tower through the stiffening zone and the transition zone . When the remaining gap between the sides was only 343 meters a different method was used to lift the remaining 12 segments . 3,000 tonne capacity “ Lifting Gantry ” cranes were used lifting the steel decks directly from the main suspension cables . All of these processes including steel deck lifting works were carried out simultaneously on the European and Asian sides .

Všechny tyto procesy včetně vyzdvižení segmentů byly prováděny souběžně na evropské i asijské straně .
Placing a steel bridge segment : the giant steel bridge segment was first lifted from the sea barge to the land and then connected to the end of the previous steel bridge segment after checking the alignment geometry . It was one of the heaviest segments in the project . Umístění ocelového segmentu mostu : obrovský segment byl nejprve vyzdvižen ze člunu na moři , umístěn na pevninu a následně po ověření geometrie připojen na konec již instalovaných ocelových segmentů . Toto byl jeden z nejtěžších segmentů celého projektu .
3.5 Cables The hybrid suspension system has three main parts :
176 stay ( stiffening ) cables 2,420m long suspension ( main ) cables 34 pairs of vertical hangers , supporting the central section of the deck from the suspension cables
3.5.1 Stay ( stiffening ) cables ( PSS – parallel strand system )
176 stiffening cables have lengths ranging from 154 to 597m and diameters between 225 and 315mm . There are 65 to 151 strands in each cable and each strand has 7 wires with a diameter of 5.2mm . The total wire length is 121 thousand kilometers which would stretch three times around the Earth . Wire strength is 1,960 MPa . Each tower leg has 22 cables on the land side which anchor the 22 cables on the main span side .
3.5 Lana Hybridní systém zavěšení mostu má tři části :
176 závěsů ( ztužující lana ) 2 420 m dlouhá visutá hlavní nosná lana 34 párů svislých závěsů , které podpírají středovou část mostovky přímo z hlavních visutých lan
3.5.1 Závěsy ( PSS – rovnoběžné pramence )
176 závěsů má délku od 154 do 597 metrů a průměr mezi 225 a 315mm . V každém laně je 65 až 151 pramenců a každý pramenec se skládá ze 7 drátů o průměru 5,2 mm . Celková délka drátů je 121 tisíc kilometrů , což by třikrát obepnulo zeměkouli . Pevnost drátů je 1 960 MPa . Každá noha pylonu má 22 lan směrem k pevnině , které zakotvují 22 lan hlavního pole .
