High-Strength As compared to PLA, PLA HS is more durable and can withstand higher temperatures. Normal PLA can only withstand about 60 degrees Celsius but PLA HS can hold up to 90 degrees. In general, it is a higher quality PLA with less moisture absorption, less shrinkage and most of all, its flexural strength is 50% higher than PLA, which makes it less likely to break. Basic [PLA] PLA (Polylactic Acid) is one of the most commonly used printing materials for desktop 3D printers. It can be treated as the "standard" material because it is both odorless and low-warp. Moreover, PLA is made from corn-starch, which is more eco-friendly to use. Beside 3D printing, PLA is often used in making food containers. D I S PEN SER O PTIO NS
