Get Over It

by Marilyn Holzman

Get over it!!

So I stood before the lies that haunted me

Convinced by media that fear was to honor my creator

Knowing that feeling righteous allowed me to be enslaved.

But that voice inside that kept pulling me

That voice of love and reason

Wanted to rescue me

I could hear the cries coming from every inner being

People separating themselves as told by their own defeat.

I could see the hurt the pain of stories of past affliction

But that voice inside that kept pulling me

That voice of love and reason

Wanted to rescue me

To decide to surrender to love

To decide to surrender to well-being

Should I follow the mass?

Should I stand strong in the knowing of this love?

Should I dare confess worthiness?

Get over it!!

Get over it!!

Jump in the flow of the rivers ready to take you

Ready to take you to a place of freedom

Get over it

Get over it

If you follow that voice your joy will be known

Your worthiness will set you free

Love has always the victory
