I read a story a couple of years ago that Bon Jovi has a restaurant in New
Jersey where people can pay what they can afford when they come in to
eat. I liked that idea so every Wednesday in my office I have what I call
“Pay What You Can Wednesdays.” I’ll see any patient, whatever problem
they have and they pay what they can; five bucks, twenty bucks, forty
bucks, whatever and I try to help them. People deserve to get healthcare.
