If I was rich and had a personal trainer and someone who was making my food and keeping me ripped but I try to squeeze the time in for that . My girlfriend says I need to focus on one or the other an hour a day . Jiu Jitsu and yoga and these other passions . I ’ ve done yoga retreats and that ’ s the best so you can focus and you can ’ t get away from it and you have to do it . I think it ’ s one of the most important things for a tattoo artist to do and I don ’ t understand why it hasn ’ t caught on more . The only one I ’ ve seen do anything like that is Durb . He did a little seminar with stretches for your back specifically designed for tattoo artists and I thought that was great . If you see me in the gym at conventions people will join with me and I ’ ll do stretches specifically for tattoo artists . A lot of back bends . Once your back goes , you ’ re done and that ’ s the complaint you hear the most . Even when your arms are getting tired , your hands are getting tired , your eyes going cross eyed , it ’ s your back . If I do an hour of yoga before a 10 hour tattoo I ’ m in much better shape .
