approached me and offered me an apprenticeship . I really loved his work and he ’ s a really amazing black and gray artist . I felt like that was my chance to really get somewhere . He helped me a lot . Not saying it was a smooth transition but having an art background and just drawing a lot definitely helped me . If I hadn ’ t been drawing before I feel like it would have been such a struggle . It was just like learning a different medium .
As you progressed was there a moment in time where you felt things were beginning to click for you ? Things just kept getting better and better in terms of how successful I was . I first started the apprenticeship with Pete around the time Instagram first started . So I got on Instagram and started posting my drawings and things just started spiraling from there . There were really not that many artists on Instagram at all . So people were paying a lot attention to me and that gave me the push that I needed . A lot of things happened in the first few months before I even started tattooing . Some really big companies wrote to me . Diesel wrote to me about designing for them . I had people wanting to drive from the other side of the UK wanting to get tattooed and I had not really done tattoos at all . So that was kind of weird for me .
