9 scheduling conflicts, that student might find himself or herself in a position of having to withdraw from one or more of the conflicting activities. Since the athletic and fine arts departments recognize that each student should have the opportunity for a broad range of experiences in the area of co-curricular activities, they will attempt to schedule events in a manner that minimizes conflicts. The student should exercise caution when gaining membership on teams and in activities where conflicts are likely to exist. Students have a responsibility to do everything they can to minimize obligations where obvious conflicts in practice and performance times will occur. When a conflict does arise THE STUDENT must notify the faculty sponsors/coaches involved immediately. When a conflict occurs the sponsors/coaches will work out a solution that minimizes pressure on the student who feels allegiance to more than one activity.
