Introduction to the 20K Kit of Hope Program
20K Kit of Hope Program - is an initiative by SSEAYP International Malaysia ( SI Malaysia ) to make a community-based project that tries to address hygiene issues among disaster victims at ASEAN and Japan levels . This is an idea of the SSEAYP Alumni that will be realized in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and the 30th anniversary of SSEAYP International ' s establishment .
For your kind information , this Program has been presented to the Government of Japan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and has received full support from both parties .
In celebrating the anniversary of the 50 th years of the ASEAN establishment , the 45 th years ASEAN-Japan cooperation , and the 30th years of SSEAYP International establishment , each SSEAYP alumni organization in each ASEAN and Japan countries will simultaneously implement special programs .
Hence , SI Malaysia has agreed to organize the 20K Kit of HOPE Program . This program is in line with the SSEAYP module and is able to foster better collaboration between SSEAYP International alumni .
Typically , efforts to mobilize the aid process are only held as a reactive measures . Taking into account the importance of disaster management subjects in organizing the SSEAYP program , as well as understanding the needs of SSEAYP International member countries ( ASEAN & Japan ) for the distribution of disaster goods , the 20K KIT of HOPE PROGRAM will be implemented this year as one of the pro-active solution before any disaster happens .
The program will provide opportunities for the general public , non-governmental organizations , companies , and individual individuals to contribute to one of the items in the disaster relief inventory that leads to the victim ' s personal hygiene , which will be included in the ' bigger disaster aid kits ’ and will be channeled to authorities over the next 10 months .
