Take a Closer Look at Our Properties Our camps offer girls a safe space to enjoy traditional camp activities, explore their interests, and discover the outdoors. Campers follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law as they participate in girl-led activities that teach valuable life skills and self-reliance, | leadership, and perseverance under the guidance of caring, well-trained staff. We have four Day Camps and one Overnight Camp located throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. No matter the camp, Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) provides all girls with the opportunity to enjoy traditional camp activities, develop a deep appreciation for nature, and create cherished memories with their new Girl Scout family. All Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England camps are proudly accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This means that our camps comply with more than 300 industry-established standards in health, safety, and program. All GSSNE camps follow ACA guidelines and state laws, in addition to Girl Scouts of the USA’s guidelines. 6 Camp Hoffman (Overnight Camp) 2850 Ministerial Road, West Kingston, RI 02892 Founded in 1921, Camp Hoffman is one of the oldest Girl Scout camps in the country and sits on 173 acres on Larkin Pond. Camp Hoffman emphasizes high adventure and waterfront activities! General camp activities may include: archery, swimming, boating, high and low ropes challenge course, GaGa Ball, sports and games, arts and crafts, hiking, and cookouts. Camp Green Forest (Day Camp) 2850 Ministerial Road, West Kingston, RI 02892 Founded in 1990, Camp Green Forest is on the same property as our overnight camp, Camp Hoffman. General camp activities may include: archery, rock wall, swimming, boating, team building activities, low ropes challenge course, GaGa ball, sports and games, arts and crafts, hiking, singing, cookouts, and archery. Camp Cookie (Day Camp) 116 Long Entry Road, Chepachet, RI 02814 Founded in 1956, Camp Cookie is a 99-acre quintessential camp, with a natural pond, wooded sites, and hiking trails. General camp activities may include: archery, rock wall, swimming, boating, team building activities, sports and games, arts and crafts, hiking, singing, and cookouts. Camp Rocky Farm (Day Camp) 160 Carroll Avenue, Newport, RI 02840 Founded in 1950, Camp Rocky Farm is a 7-acre property right by Gooseberry Beach in Newport. This camp is within walking distance of Ocean Drive and the Newport Mansions. General camp activities include: archery, rock wall, going to the beach, team building activities, games, arts and crafts, singing, and cookouts. Camp Promising Acres (Day Camp) 591 Dillon Lane, Swansea, MA 02777 Founded in 1968, Camp Promising Acres is an 173-acre property with an on-site swimming pool, rolling hills, and the charming Root Beer River and Soda Pop Pond, where campers can explore the wildlife. General camp activities may include: archery, swimming, rock wall, team building activities, games, arts and crafts, hiking, singing, and cookouts. *Please note that all camp activities are dependent on the age level of the camper, staffing expertise, and weather conditions.
