Supply lists
We will post a link to supply lists with each workshop
description on our website at a later date. Anderson
Ranch does its best to work with faculty to devise a
comprehensive list of supplies, tools or materials that
you may need during the workshop. You may be asked
to bring more than you will actually use. The acquisition
and cost of these items are your responsibility.
Anderson Ranch has an art supply store that carries a
wide selection of many art making tools and materials
and offers a 10% discount on preorders. Please contact
the staff at the front desk for more information about the
ArtWorks Store. It is also possible to order supplies from
other merchants and have them shipped directly to the
Ranch. Otherwise, Anderson Ranch is in a location that
makes obtaining tools and supplies difficult once you
are here, hence the broad range of materials suggested
on the supply list.
If Anderson Ranch cancels a workshop
Please register early! Registration is ongoing, on a
space-available basis. Students who wait to register may
not be able to secure a spot in their preferred workshop.
Some workshops may fill up, while others may be
canceled due to low enrollment. Early registration also
enables Anderson Ranch to better plan, especially with
respect to faculty travel and housing.
Occasionally, Anderson Ranch must cancel a workshop
due to low enrollment, faculty illness or other unforeseen
circumstances. We will notify you if a summer workshop
or destination workshop for which you have registered
has been canceled. Notification of cancellation will
normally occur one month prior to the beginning of
the workshop but, in rare cases, it may be less. You
may then enroll in another summer workshop or
destination workshop (based on availability) or receive
a full refund of tuition, housing, studio and applicable
registration fees. Anderson Ranch is not responsible
for losses incurred due to off-Ranch housing, travel or
other arrangements.
If there is a change in
workshop instructor
Occasionally a listed instructor is unable to participate
because of a change in his or her professional schedule.
If we must replace an instructor, we will do so with
someone of equal or similar credentials. When time
permits, we will inform all registered students.

Lodging
Space is limited for all housing options. Housing is
assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier
you make your housing request, the better your chance
of receiving one of your preferred choices. To guarantee
your housing reservation, payment is due in full 60 days
prior to the start date of your stay. Housing check-in
begins at 12PM on the Sunday before your workshop.
Check-out is by 10AM the Saturday following your
workshop. Smoking and pets are not permitted in any
Anderson Ranch housing. If dorm housing is requested,
a fee will be charged should there be any damage to
the room.
Anderson Ranch provides economical housing.

Special requests
Our goal is to meet your needs. Please let us know if you
have physical limitations with regards to walking, stairs,
vision, etc. We are unable to guarantee bed size, special
amenities or specific housing assignments. Students
who snore or who need to use a CPAP machine while
sleeping are asked to reserve a single room in the dorm,
so as to limit disruption to others.
Wyly House dormitory
The dorm is a two-story, co-ed building located on the
Anderson Ranch campus next to the Café. There are
18 bedrooms and a common area. Dormitory housing
includes meals in the Anderson Ranch Café. Food is
not allowed in the dormitory. There are coin-operated
washers and dryers. Phones are not available in the
dormitory or rooms, however most cell phone providers
have service in the area.
The rooms are clean and modest, with four different
options: Option A (double) is a 2-person shared room/
shared bath; Option Q (quad) is a 4-person shared
room (single sex)/shared bath; Option B1 (single) is a
private room/private bath – please be aware that these
rooms only have a courtyard view available; and Option
B2 (single) is a private room/shared bath. The 2-person
shared rooms, Option A, have two single beds and a
vanity sink; every two rooms are connected by one co-
ed bath. The 4-person shared rooms, Option Q, have
two sets of bunk beds and one attached bathroom.
