Adventures at Polliwog Pond
Have you ever wondered what critters live inside the murky waters of a marsh or hopped with frogs around a pond?
We’ll use nets, buckets, magnifiers, and our curiosity to explore the waters of Blandford and the creatures that call
them home.
Fairy Tales
See the Blandford woods through the eyes of your favorite fairy tales: walk through the woods like Little Red Riding
Hood, build homes for fairies and trolls, and discover what’s at the top of Jack’s beanstalk. Fairy tales awaken the
most wonderful parts of our imagination; combined with nature play this makes for a week of never ending stories
and lasting memories.
Marsh Madness
Have you ever wondered what critters live inside the murky waters of the marsh? We’ll use nets, buckets, magnifiers,
and our curiosity to explore the waters of Blandford and the creatures that call them home.
Farmyard Friends
Let’s get to know the animals at Blandford Farm! We’ll work to keep the Blandford livestock happy and healthy and
learn how to feed, clean, and entertain goats, chickens, and sheep. Grow and harvest food for our animals and
become a Blandford farmer for a week as we learn and play at the farm!
Camp Classic
From creek to farm to schoolyard, explore Blandford’s favorite games, hikes, and animals! Whether you are a
returning camper or a first-timer learning what Summer Camp has to offer, this camp will be packed full of fun!
Beautiful Birds & Radical Raptors
Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate ornithologist? Using binoculars and field guides, we’ll explore the
property from top to bottom looking for signs of birds in action. Campers will have the opportunity to meet our owls,
kestrels, and hawks, hear their stories, and prepare their food.
Michigan Legends
Buckle up for a wild ride through time! Campers will hop in a time machine to experience the daily lives of children
50, 150, and 500 years ago. We’ll harness the power of our imaginations, great stories, and helpful historians to
explore Michigan’s past.
Wild Culinary Adventures
Come along on an edible adventure -- harvesting garden veggies, discovering wild forest foods, and creating
deliciously healthy snacks! Along the way, practice basic culinary skills like reading a recipe, dicing, and measuring
ingredients. Campers will put these skills into action when they whip up a recipe of their own on Friday.
Farmers in Training
What does it take to run a farm? Campers will turn into farmers this week as they feed and take care of animals, work
in the field, and prepare produce for sale. The week will conclude with campers running a produce stand where
friends and family can buy fruit and veggies at the Blandford Farm.
