Nature Play
Nature is your playground at Blandford! Let your imagination run wild as we build forts, splash in puddles, and create
arts and crafts in the outdoors. Let’s go play!
Hooray for Herptiles
Discover the slimy and scaly world of toads, turtles, salamanders, and snakes as we explore Blandford’s own frog
ponds, muddy marshes, and curvy creek. As herpetologists in training, we’ll feed, interact with, and brainstorm ways
to improve the habitats of these amazing animals!
Marsh Madness
Have you ever wondered what critters live inside the murky waters of the marsh? We’ll use nets, buckets, magnifiers,
and our curiosity to explore the waters of Blandford and the creatures that call them home.
Farm Circle of Life
Campers will spend the week at the Blandford Farm learning to harness the energy of the sun, discovering the
importance of plants, experiencing what it’s like to be a predator or prey, and digging in the mud looking for
decomposers!
Dino Adventure
Roar into the past as we explore the world of dinosaurs! Build dinosaur egg nests to keep young dinos safe, discover
how large these gigantic creatures grew, and learn how animals today compare to the great beasts of long ago.
Cycles of the Farm
Life on the farm awaits! We’ll nurture a love of farming through hands-on life in our gardens and animal barns. Roll
up your sleeves and get ready to explore the path our food takes from seed to plate, as well as assist in taking care of
Blandford’s resident farm animals.
Camp Classic
From creek to farm to schoolyard, explore Blandford’s favorite games, hikes, and animals! Whether you are a
returning camper or a first-timer learning what Summer Camp has to offer, this camp will be packed full of fun!
Nature Art
From the biggest landscapes to the smallest insects, nature has always inspired artists. This week campers will draw
inspiration from the nature around them and explore a variety of media, both natural and traditional, to create works
of art fit for gallery walls. The week will conclude with an art show to share our creations with family and friends.
Blandford Guardians
We can all be guardians of the natural world around us. This week your land stewards in training will learn some of
the skills and practices scientists use in the field to help native plant and animal species. Campers will learn there’s
fun to be had while making a difference in their environment!
