Let’s get to know the animals at Blandford Farm! We’ll work to keep the Blandford livestock happy and healthy and
learn how to feed, clean, and entertain goats, chickens, and sheep. Grow and harvest food for our animals and
become a Blandford farmer for a week as we learn and play at the farm!
Hooray for Herptiles
Campers will discover the slimy and scaly world of toads, turtles, salamanders, and snakes! Together we will explore
Blandford’s own froggy ponds, muddy marshes, flourishing forests, and curvy creek to learn about the wild and
resident reptiles and amphibians that call Blandford home. Together we will come up with ways to improve the
habitats of these amazing animals!
Wildlife Helpers
Michigan is home to a wondrous variety of wildlife that needs your help! Campers will create special items to help
the wildlife in their backyard, work on projects to protect habitat diversity, and go behind the scenes in our wildlife
care center to prepare food and enrichment items for Blandford’s permanent residents.
Camp Classic
From creek to farm to schoolyard, explore Blandford’s favorite games, hikes, and animals! Whether you are a returning
camper or a first-timer learning what Blandford Summer Camp has to offer, this camp will be packed full of fun!
Farm Stand
Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? Then the farm needs you! Become a part of our working farm, harvesting and
preparing produce to share with our community. Practice skills needed to run a business, including money
management, product marketing, and work ethic. This week includes a field trip to Fulton Street Farmers Market
where campers will help Blandford Farm staff run the produce stall.
July 29-August 2
Wildlife Buddies
Hanging out with the wildlife ambassadors is the highlight of any camp at Blandford. Through stories and play,
campers will learn all about our resident animals. Campers will provide special assistance to the wildlife staff by
helping with jobs like preparing food and providing enrichment activities. They may even take a turtle for a walk!
Go Wild
Nature is your playground at Blandford! Let your imagination run wild as we splash in creeks, build forts, catch bugs,
and explore the amazing opportunities for fun in the outside world.
Farm Fairy Tales
Lots of our favorite fairy tales include farm plants and animals! Find out what’s landing on Chicken Little’s head,
discover what lies at the top of a beanstalk, and search for the goose that lays the golden egg! Imaginative play will
take us to the farm and beyond in search of adventure.
Farm Olympics
Get ready to run, jump, toss, and tumble through the week as we create and compete in the first-ever Blandford
Summer Camp Farm Olympics! Individuals and teams will create fun obstacle courses, events, and races to test
themselves amongst the plants and animals on the farm. You need not be the fastest or most flexible, there will be
fun events for everyone!
