DANCE
The Dance curriculum at West Ridge Center provides students of all ages with a high-quality and enjoyable dance education.
The program is centered on a fun and nurturing environment that allows students to grow and advance at their own pace.
Introductory classes focus on movement and coordination. Class levels progress to a more disciplined routine of stretching,
technique and choreography while promoting self-confidence. For more information on dance programs, call 847.579.3131.
Attire
Ballet and Contemporary Classes:
Girls wear pastel pink leotards (without skirt or tutu), pink
tights and pink ballet shoes.
Boys wear black pants, white or black shirt and black ballet
shoes.
Hip-Hop, Pom, Performance, and Adult Dance:
Comfortable clothes (no jeans) and clean-soled shoes.
No boots or street shoes.
Jazz and Jazz II:
Black pants (no bare knees), black leotard and black jazz shoes
Tap:
Girls wear pastel pink leotards (without skirt or tutu), pink
tights and black tap shoes.
Boys wear black pants, white or black shirt and black tap
shoes.
Mini Camps & Dance Days Programs:
Comfortable clothes (no jeans) and clean-soled shoes. No
street shoes.
Ballet attire is encouraged.
Themed Attire is accepted, as long as it is not restrictive
Full Year Registration Option (select dance programs)
A two-part payment option is available for Full Year program
options. Full Year registrations include Spring Dance Show.

MINI CAMPS
ShowBiz Mini Dance & Theatre Camps | Ages 2-6
Enjoy a mini camp experience that includes dance and musical
theatre class, story time, costumes, and games! You will explore
each camp’s theme through movement, stories, craft and media.
Families and friends enjoy a small showcase on the last day of
class. Please bring a water bottle. Snack is provided. Instructor:
Margo Proeh, Gabrielle Garza, and the Children’s Theatre Co. Min/
Max: 7/15.

INTRODUCTORY PROGRAMS
Dance with Me (Parent & Tot) | Ages 2-4
Prepare your little one to feel comfortable in the dance studio or
a performance class and create wonderful memories together!
Parents and tots learn the very basics of dance, work on body
position and control together while exploring their imagination
and enjoying some great tunes! Recommended as a first dance
class experience to prepare students for a drop-off class. Instructor:
Margo Proeh. Min/Max 4/12.
