Learn-to-Swim Registration REGISTRATION STARTS Wed Apr 24 at 7am for residents. Wed May 1 at 9am for non-residents. See page 98 for the skill-based program policy. Online registration is now available for all Recreation Center swimming programs (except drop-in). Practice All Learn-to-Swim school students are encouraged to swim outside of class times. Learn-to-Swim Practice/Family Swim hours are free to children and their guardians currently enrolled in our swim school. Sat 12:30-1:30pm Sun 12:30-1:30pm (The regular fee is required for all other swim times.) 58 Park District of Highland Park • 847.831.3810 • pdhp.org Pre-Lesson Swim Assessments Children who have never taken swim lessons are recommended to begin in Paddlers 1 unless otherwise approved by the Learn- to-Swim Coordinator or Aquatics Manager. If your child has taken lessons at another facility or has taken lessons at the park district but not recently it is recommended that a pre-lesson swim assessment be conducted. Pre-lessons assessments are free services provided to ensure students get placed in the proper level. Limit of 2 make-ups per session. 2. Make-Up Request Form must be submitted and approved prior to arriving to class. Forms are available in pool lobby and on the website. 3. Participants can only make up at their level. 4. If a participant shows up to a class that is full, the class will not be overloaded to accommodate a make-up. 5.
