Nature Programs
Four-Year-Olds
Our goal is for your child to grow a strong sense of self, mindfulness, creativity, exploration and empathy in
our connections to one another and the natural world. Classes spend every day outdoors learning in various
environments, from the beaches and ravine of Rosewood to the woodland and prairie of Heller.
Nature is the driving force behind child-led learning through play, sensory, gross and fine motor activities and
creative expression.
Classes alternate location first day at Heller and the second day at Rosewood. Dress for the weather.

ParkSchool Nature programs can be taken as stand alone programs or combined with our
morning ParkSchool West Ridge programs.

*Nature Funology Friday. The fun continues on Fridays at Rosewood Beach! Our focus is on fresh
and exciting themes that captivate the imagination within your child. Play fast paced games using
all five senses, make messy art projects promoting creativity, and create crazy concoctions based on
science to invite inquiry. Includes a healthy snack, exercise, and fun brain games.
When you combine an afternoon ParkSchool Nature program with our morning
ParkSchool West Ridge program, round-trip transportation is provided for your child.
Students are picked up from West Ridge Center at 12:15pm and shuttled to Heller or
Rosewood Beach in the Nature Shuttle. After the program has concluded at 3pm, students are
transported back to West Ridge for easy parent pick-up or to West Ridge’s After Care Program.
Please NOTE: No programming on 9/30, 10/9, 11/28-29, 12/23-1/3, 3/23-27, 4/10
