After a two-year hiatus, the North Shore Amateur is back at
the newly renovated Sunset Valley Golf Club.
S
ince 1956, thousands of Chicagoland’s greatest amateur golfers have competed at the
annual golf tournament. Join us for a weekend of lively competition with golfers from
throughout northern Illinois as they play for the honor of the game and the win!
NEW FORMAT
Divisions:
Tournament field is limited to 200 players and
divided into three separate divisions:
• Championship Division (recommended handicap
of 8 or less)
• Open/Senior Division
• Women's Division
Play:
36-hole stroke play (gross score)
• Championship Division - Black Tees (6700 yards)
• Open/Senior Division - Blue Tees (6300 yards)
• Women's Division - Red Tees (5400 yards)
Tee Times / Pairings:
• Tee times begin at 7am both days
• Pairings for Saturday round may be requested
or otherwise will be assigned by the tournament
committee based on course handicaps.
• Pairings for Sunday round will be based on
Saturday gross score and broken down into
Flights. Ties will go off as determined by the
tournament committee. The Championship
Division will tee off last.
Lowest gross score over 36-holes in the
Championship Division wins the
North Shore Amateur.
Entry Fee:
$150
(includes 2 rounds of tournament play, lunch
both days, and a tee gift)

by check
In-Person: at the golf shop
• All entries must be received no later than
Saturday, Jul 13, 2019 and must include an
updated 2019 USGA Handicap Index.
• No refunds will be given after Sat Jul 13, 2019.
• The Tournament Committee has the right to
approve or reject any application and has the
right to modify a competitor’s handicap per
USGA guidelines.
Starting times will be emailed to each
applicant by Mon, Jul 15, 2019.
