LAPTOP SPECIFICATIONS We realise that you would need access to the software you use during your studies. This software is made available to you via the following platforms: NOTE: It is advised that you purchase your own: Once you are registered you will have access to the Software Downloads tab on the IIELibrary website via the following link: https://www.iie.ac.za/IIE%20Library/Pages/default.aspx The software per programme may be accessed via the links below: PRACTICAL SUBMISSIONS All practical submissions needs to be dual submitted. You will need to submit your files on a USB to the ICT department on campus who will sign your submissions slip. You will then need to submit your assignment cover sheet to the relevant AOC (Academic Operations Coordinator). Programme Software PRACTICAL EXAMS BCAD Download document here. BCNE Download document here. Practical exams will be written for some of your modules and these will take place on campus in the labs. You will log on to our systems with an exam account. The ICT department will be available to assist if any queries arise. Always remember to run the exam log utility. DISD Download document here. MICROSOFT IMAGINE GUIDE The Microsoft Imagine guide provides you with a step by step guide that will enable you to access the license keys for the software used during your programme. You will also have access to online resources which will be very useful during the course of your studies. Download document here. HIS Each site has an FTP server that will allow you to download any software not provided by Microsoft Imagine. The IP address and How to Guide is contained in the ICT student handbook under the Student Systems cloud. The School of IT does not currently offer any postgraduate qualifications, however the BCAD and BCNE are NQF level 7 qualifications which are registered with the CHE (Council for Higher Education). Students who have completed these qualifications will be allowed entry into an NQF level 8 qualification (Honours or Postgraduate Diploma) at any South African Higher Education Institution.
