ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION DATES AND TIMES Give yourself enough time to complete all your assignments on time. You will be penalised for late submissions. Submit your assignments to the academic reception on campus before 17h00 on the due date unless otherwise stipulated. Complete an assignment cover sheet with each submission. ACADEMIC CREDIT APPLICATIONS Academic credits will not be automatically awarded so you must attend lectures and complete all assessments for the module until the result of your application has been determined. If you would like to benefit from the financial credit received from an approved academic credit, please ensure your applications are received by: Semester 1: 8 March 2019 Semester 2: 8 August 2019 Step 1 Once your registration is finalised by The IIE’s Varsity College, you will receive an email with a personalised link to Varsity College Books. Click on this link and you will automatically be signed into the Varsity College Books Portal. Any applications received after the closing dates above will be processed but will be subject to the full fees irrespective of the application outcome. Review your contact details and proceed to your shopping cart. Internal applications will be processed in approximately two weeks after the closing date. External applications will be processed in approximately one month after closing date. Step 3 Step 2 Your shopping cart will be prepopulated with the books you require. Review and proceed. Access the IIE010 Credit Accumulation and Transfer policy related to Academic credit and all other IIE related policies via the Student Portal or the Student Hub. Step 4 Access to the Student Portal via: http://portal.iie.ac.za/vcstudent Choose a delivery option and enter your delivery details. Access the Student HUB via: https://www.varsitycollege.co.za/student-hub/ Getting your textbooks has never been this EASY and CONVENIENT! www.varsitycollegebooks.co.za Certain qualifications require you to achieve a minimum result before academic credit for that module may be approved. To avoid disappointment, please ensure you understand these requirements for the programme you are registering. The detail of this may be found on the fact sheet where articulation option requirements for academic credit have been detailed. Only up to 50% of the credit value from one completed qualification can be presented for recognition in another qualification. You will have the option to apply for academic credits onto your current programme if you have studied at another tertiary institution. Should you want to do this, submit your application through the Student Hub. Credit can only be granted for up to 50% of the credit value of a qualification for learning completed in: • Another completed qualification; or • Through short learning programmes; or • From an incomplete qualification Step 5 Make payment (EFT/card) and expect delivery of your books within 1–3 business days.
