Your Programme Assessment Schedule (PAS) will be given to you by your Academic Operations
Coordinator (AOC) at the start of the semester. This schedule will list all the formative and summative
assessment dates for each module in chronological order so that you can plan for and work towards your
academic success. It is important that you attend the very informative referencing and plagiarism workshops offered
on campus to familiarise yourself with the requirements for referencing when submitting any
formative or summative submissions. Plagiarism is academic theft and will be treated very seriously.

Your PAS will be available on your Student Portal.
This schedule will confirm all assessment dates (tests, assignments, exams, tasks and Portfolio of
Evidence (POE) deadlines).
Tests and exams are scheduled at 7am, 9am and 1pm. Assessments to be written on a Friday will be
scheduled at 2pm.
The PAS is subject to change, so please ensure that you are always referring to the most recent version.
Integrated Curriculum Engagement (ICE) due dates will be issued to you by the lecturer.
Please take note of your programme Continuous Assessment (CASS) release dates. During this period,
you are required to check all your results on the Student Portal and bring any concerns to your AOC’s
attention. Changes to results cannot be made once the CASS release date has passed. Past exam
papers are available on the Library website. Access to the Library website via: https://www.iie.

STUDENT IDENTIFICATION
TURNITIN/SAFEASSIGN
All theoretical assignments must be submitted through an online plagiarism detection software,
namely Turnitin or SafeAssign (you will be notified on your PAS which platform your programme
submits on). It is your responsibility to ensure you submit your assignment using the correct online
plagiarism detection software. You will receive your login details for the site with the list of all your
assignments you have to submit onto this site in the first few weeks of class.

PROGRAMME ASSESSMENT SCHEDULES (PAS)
•
Integrated Curriculum Engagement (ICE) tasks will be conducted throughout the semester for each
module. The completed tasks contribute 10% towards your CASS mark. It is your responsibility
to attend classes and receive copies of the ICE tasks and requirements in order to benefit from
these activities. You need to attend class to successfully complete and participate in the ICE tasks.
Should you be absent due to a serious illness or death in your immediate family you need to
inform your lecturer and AOC immediately.
•
INTEGRATED CURRICULUM ENGAGEMENT (ICE)
•
The entry requirement for all The IIE exams is a CASS mark of 40% average. It is important to keep
an eye on the Student Portal and your CASS mark leading up to the final exams to ensure that you
know if you qualify to write the exam.
•
CUMULATIVE ASSESSMENT (CASS)
•
•
While we strive to offer time efficient timetables (where classes are grouped together in the morning
or the afternoon), we cannot guarantee that either format will necessarily be available for all
programmes every semester.
Where students are repeating modules, these modules may be offered in the evenings or weekends.
You are required to attend classes or, should the module be offered online or via distance, workshops
may be provided.
You may also be required to write assessments or submit coursework or assignments outside of
normal class time.
If you are repeating a module/s from a previous year of study, please liaise with your AOC to ensure
that you have all the required timetables for modules across different years of study.
Timetables are subject to change and it is therefore important that you refer to the most recent version
which will be on the student portal.
Should you experience a clash between 2 modules on your timetable, please discuss this with your
AOC immediately.
•
If you do not pass your modules with an average of 50%, you may qualify to write a supplementary
exam, but you must have at least achieved a sub minimum of 30% in your final exam. You have
to keep an eye on your final results to know if you passed or not. If you do not pass the first exam
