If you are completing the contract online there is a digital acceptance process which is synonymous with a digital signature. If you are a new student you have to submit a certified copy of your Statement of Results, National Senior Certificate or equivalent. REGISTRATION FOR PART-TIME STUDENTS • • • Apply for admission Meet with your Student Advisor Complete your registration contract on paper or online AS A RETURNING STUDENT YOU NEED TO: • • • Meet with your Academic Operations Coordinator (AOC) Check your documents and your account Complete your registration contract on paper or online HOW TO REGISTER COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION CONTRACT You (and the account payer where relevant) have to complete the registration contract as carefully as possible before registering – on paper or online (computers are available on campus). Registration teams and Student Advisors will be available during registration to help with any aspect of the registration process. If you are a returning student, you do not need to complete the entire contract again as some of your information is already available on our database. If you are registering online this information will automatically populate in certain areas of the contract. You have to have your student number ready. The registration contract is a legally binding document. If you are completing a printed version of the registration contract, it must be completed in black, initialled and signed where indicated by: • • • You The account payer The legal guardian if you are a minor PREV. PAGE 12 SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS • • • • Certified copy of your ID (first time registration) Certified copy of the account payer’s ID. Please note that this is required for first time registration OR if you are a returning student and the account payer has changed from the previous year Certified copy of your Statement of Results/NSC or equivalent An Exemption Certificate from Universities South Africa (USAf) if you have an N5 or N6 SA qualification Certified copy of your higher education qualification and Academic Transcript (if applying for postgraduate studies) NBT results (for School of Tomorrow learners) • • AS A NEW STUDENT YOU NEED TO: The following documents must be submitted with the Registration Contract: If you completed the National Senior Certificate (NSC)/IEB in 2018, you would have received a Statement of Results from your school in early January. Please submit a certified copy of the Statement of Results. This is sufficient to conditionally register you for your programme of choice. You will receive their official Umalusi NSC/IEB certificates in the middle of the year. A certified copy also needs to be submitted as soon as you receive it. This is needed to complete the registration process in terms of the South African legislation and will be required before you can graduate. If you completed the NSC prior to 2018, you will have received your NSC/IEB certificate which also needs to be certified and submitted. BEFORE YOU REGISTER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED The IIE’s Varsity College is an educational brand of The IIE and we have a range of The IIE qualifications in different areas of specialisation available on our campuses. Alternatively, contact the relevant campus for registration. Early registration for 2019 qualifications starts 15 October – 17 December 2018. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS • • • • Certified copy of your passport (first time registration) Certified copy of the account payer’s passport. Please note that this is required for first time registration OR if you are a returning student and the account payer has changed from the previous year Certified copy of a valid study visa made out to The IIE valid for the full duration and qualification of study Certified copy of an NSC equivalent (see Qualification Evaluation below) 13 AT THE IIE’S VARSITY COLLEGE If you are a student studying Part-Time via the Contact mode you may also register online at https://www.varsitycollege.co.za/registration/ REGISTRATION For your convenience, the process takes place completely online – including the submission of the required registration documentation.
