More than 250 acres of prairie, woodlands, ravines and wetlands provide
residents with more than just open space. They are places for wonder, learning
and emerging science. From the ravines of the Lake Michigan shore to rare
Northern Flatwood communities to the Sedge Meadows of Skokie Valley, the
Park District of Highland Park provides access and maintenance to each distinct
community of wildflowers, wildlife, trees and shrubs. Prepare to be amazed!
WHAT THE PARKS FOUNDATION DOES:
Meeting the growing and changing needs of the
community and keeping taxes and program fees in check
the gap between public resources and the need to maintain
a vibrant park system by:
