High School Sailing Club
Join other high school-aged students who love being in,
on and around the water -no prior experience needed.
The North Shore Sailing Club at Park Avenue Boating
Facility open to teens from ALL schools. Beginners
learn the basics of sailing including safety, rigging, boat
handling, wind and weather awareness, and more.
Seasoned sailors receive coaching and have opportunities
to sail competitively. Swim test is required. Middle school
students with previous sailing experience also accepted.
Our season begins in August and goes through October,
weather permitting, and meets Sundays 10am-12:30pm.

Fishermen
Due to spatial limitations, no one person may have more than
two poles and one net while fishing at the Park Avenue Boating
Facility. All fishermen who leave trailers after launching their
boats must purchase a season launch decal.
PLEASE NOTE:
All parking spaces are monitored by the City of Highland Park.
All ticket disputes should be handled by calling the Police
Department at the non-emergency number, 847.432.7730.
