Learn-to-Swim Learn-to-Swim Registration Class Makeup Policy REGISTRATION STARTS Wed Feb 13 at 7am for residents. Wed Feb 20 at 9am for non-residents. The Park District does not guarantee a participant’s ability to make up a class that is missed. 1. Limit of 2 make-ups per session. 2. Make-Up Request Form must be submitted and approved prior to arriving to class. Forms are available in pool lobby and on the website. 3. Participants can only make-up at their level. 4. If a participant shows up to a class that is full, the class will not be overloaded to accommodate a make-up. 5. Reserving a make-up slot and then not attending or notifying the aquatics staff will count as the make-up. 6. Call Rebecca Reading at 847.579.4052 or [email protected] regarding same any questions. Practice All Learn-to-Swim school students are encouraged to swim outside of class times. Learn-to-Swim Practice/Family Swim hours are free to children and their guardians currently enrolled in our swim school. Fri 5:30-6:30pm Sun 12:30-2:30pm (The regular fee is required for all other swim times.) Adult Swimming Programs Group Swim Training | Adults Geared toward competitive swimmers or adults seeking a higher-level swimming workout. Led by a certified United States Masters Swim Level 2 Coach. Integrates interval training and stroke technique in a group setting. Apr 8-May 20 2773421-A M 11am-Noon $115/130 Swim & TRX Cross Training | Adults This program is for athletes seeking a great cross training workout. Each class starts with a swim workout, followed by time in the TRX studio for stretching and strengthening. Apr 11-May 23 2773431-A Th 6-7:45pm $150/165 Adult Learn-to-Swim | Adults For those who have had no swimming experience or may have a fear of water. Apr 8-May 20 2773411-A M 6:30-7:30pm $168/183 Pre-Lesson Swim Assessments Children who have never taken swim lessons are recommended to begin in Paddlers 1 or Little Swimmers 1 depending on age unless otherwise approved by the Learn- to-Swim Coordinator or Aquatics Supervisor. If your child has taken lessons at another facility or has taken lessons at the park district but not recently, it is recommended that a pre-lesson swim assessment be conducted. Pre-lessons assessments are free services provided to ensure students get placed in the proper level.
