number of months into the expansion (x-axis). Overall, presuming the economy continues expanding through
the second quarter of 2019, this GDP expansion will have been the longest on record. Although the longest,
up until recently, it’s been the weakest on record, with GDP up less than 25% over the course of 40 quarters (10
years). Different presidential policies may have had something to do with this.
