RESIDENTIAL LIFE reslife.txstate.edu If you are a freshman, you will live right on campus in one of our beautiful residence halls. Freshmen are required to live on campus in their first year. You can choose from 23 locations across campus. All of them are close to facilities you will need, like the gymnasium and the library. Residence hall rooms are furnished and include access to cable television, local telephone service and high-speed internet connections. You can share a room with up to three other people. We’ll match you with appropriate roommates based on how you like to live. You’ll get to know more about American culture through your roommates. Each residence hall has assistants who live on site. They are always ready to answer any questions you have. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and safe in your university home. The Department of Housing and Residential Life can assist transfer and graduate students with finding and securing off-campus housing, but students can live on campus, too.
