The College has teamed up with the
University of Central Lancashire for
this enrichment programme, which
is designed to give students the
opportunity to explore and consider
the different disciplines of engineering
from, Electronic, Electrical, Fire Safety,
Motorsports, Chemical and Civil.
ARTS AWARD
It is also possible to take the Arts
Award, which is a chance for students
to get involved in the arts in a more
hands-on way. Students will gain a
deeper understanding of the arts world
through research and volunteering/
training projects as well as producing
original art work and/or performance
pieces. The award is a Level 3
qualification which is worth 35
UCAS points and counts towards
your university entry.
For those aspiring to follow a career
into teaching, we offer an enrichment
opportunity for you in partnership with
University of Cumbria called Future
Teachers. The aim is to give you a head
start with your teaching career.
We offer an enrichment programme for
anyone who is interested in pursuing a
career in the Allied Health Professions.
We have talks throughout the year from
industry speakers which aim to introduce
you to the professional world of health
care and give you career guidance
about the wealth of career opportunities
available in this field.

CORE MATHS
Don’t let maths hold you back. With
a growing demand in all workplaces
for employees with a good level of
mathematics, prepare yourself by
ensuring your maths skills make you
a great candidate for any job.
This one year course (equivalent to half
an A Level) can be taken in year 12 or
13. Consisting of just 2 lessons a week
it can earn you up to 20 UCAS points.
