Communication and Preparation • School bathers are required when swimming for Years 1 - 6. • White with navy stripe sport socks • Students from K – PP are not required to wear the school bathers for swimming lessons or the swimming carnival. • Predominantly white sports shoes – Velcro fastening (recommended) • Students are encouraged to carry sunscreen in their sports bags; Sunscreen is also available in classes, PE office, Medical Centre, and the pool. Summer sports staff and coaches carry sunscreen in their kits. • Fleecy track top and pants • It is recommended that Early Years students have predominantly white Velcro shoes, school navy blue rain coat, and gum boots for winter (Term 2 and 3). • Navy sports kit bag Sport Uniform Variations When attired in sports uniform during the winter terms (Term 2 and 3) students are required to wear their full tracksuit (top and bottom) when entering and leaving the school grounds and to and from sporting venues. Above all, please ensure all uniform items are clearly labelled. All uniform and sports gear is to be carried in the Guildford sports bag (Years 4-6) or sports kit bag, available at the Clothing Shop. Years K-2 Uniform Students in Years K–2 will not have an allocated sport uniform but will wear their normal uniform for sport activities. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled. This uniform consists of: • Navy hat – bucket style • Fleecy track top and pants - compulsory Terms 2 and 3. Year 3s may opt to wear the microfibre tracksuit. • Navy sports bag • Water bottle • Girls dress • Shorts Years 4-6 Sports Uniform • T shirt • Water bottle Any combination of the above items may be worn throughout the year. Students in Year 1 will generally wear the Kindergarten – Year 2 uniform. Occasionally, they will be required to wear their coloured Quarter polo shirt, as specified by their class teacher. Students in Year 4-6 wear their core sports uniform to School every Thursday. Students are also required to bring their sports uniform in the approved Guildford sports bags on Monday for training and on day(s) specified by their class teacher for their timetabled PE lesson. This includes: • Navy broad brim hat • Navy school crested polo shirt Years 2-3 Sports Uniform Students in Years 2-3 will be allocated set days on which they are to wear their sports uniform to school instead of the traditional school uniform. These days will be specified by their class teacher and usually coincide with their timetabled PE lesson: • Navy school sports shorts • White with navy stripe sports socks • Predominately white sports shoes • Microfibre track top and pants – compulsory Terms 2 and 3 • Quarter polo for carnivals This uniform consists of: • Guildford Sports bag • Navy broad brim hat • Water bottle • Coloured Quarter polo shirt Extra clothing requirements for the sport your son or daughter is competing in may be required if your child is selected for that team. These items are additional to the core sports uniform. • Navy school sports shorts • White with navy stripe sport socks • Predominantly white sports shoes 22
