“I am so grateful to
have had the ability to immerse
myself in the Parisian culture, and to
study the cultural influences people of color
have had, while examining the overall significance
of race on a global scale. I have had the opportunity to
walk in the same locations and learn of the untold stories
of black artists ranging from the great French entertainer
and activist Josephine Baker to musical artist Joseph
Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. I am thankful for
the opportunity the OS Study Abroad Scholarship has
given me to experience and learn about other cultures.
