In 2018, 50 new businesses opened in League City. The city is home to a unique variety of business and commercial operations, with major industries such as retail, education, health care services, advanced manufacturing, specialty chemical, aerospace aviation, tourism and maritime. League City’s diverse economic base offers an opportunity for all types of businesses to thrive, from the smallest home business to the largest big box retailer. Devereux: 219 There are many current hot spots of business development throughout the city, including: Harbor View Care Center: 220 Marketplace at Ninety-six: This 36- acre development is anchored by the Kroger: 280 18 | League City Regional Chamber of Commerce 123,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace. Phase II of the development was completed in 2018. Pinnacle Park: This 100-acre mixed-use development is home to the only Cabela’s in the Houston area. Recent additions to the Pinnacle Park area include Abuelo’s Mexican Food Restaurant, Little Bella Mia, CoCo Crepes, Redwing Shoes and Salata. Kabuki Japanese Grill & Sush Bar recently opened as well. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened in 2018 next to the development. League City Towne Center: This 194,736-square-foot retail center at the intersection of I-45 and FM 646 recently saw the opening of a new First Watch Restaurant location. Both Walmart and H-E-B redesigned its store layouts and frontage during the summer.
