THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28 NETWORKING BREAK IN EXHIBIT HALL EHES07—Start-up and Operation of the 30 MGD Montevina Ultrafiltration Plant—Lessons Learned 10:00–10:15 a.m. Track: Plant Operation, Maintenance and Management Facilitator: inge GmbH Booth 510 The San Jose Water Company decided to improve its 40-year old Montevina WTP in Los Gatos, California. The design- builder, HDR, selected H2O Innovation based on life cycle cost evaluations and inge GmbH supplied ultrafiltration (UF) membranes for the process. Insight into plant startup, pretreatment and cleaning strategies will be discussed. EHES08—Polymeric Membrane Replacement with Submerged Ceramic Membranes 10:15–10:30 a.m. Track: Microfiltration and Ultrafiltration Facilitator: SafBon Water Technology Booth 403 Applications and driving factors for submerged polymeric MF/UF membrane replacement with ceramic membranes. This presentation will discuss the case study where a ceramic membrane retrofit was completed for a full scale (26.4 MGD) drinking water treatment plant based on proof of concept and process verification testing. The current overall plant performance demonstrates that inge GmbH membranes would meet the expectations of San Jose Water Company. Committee Meetings All committee meetings take place at Ernest N.
