We turned around as we heard knocking on what we thought was glass. But there was no glass in the windows. All of it littered the floor, jagged pieces sticking up like daggers. The fear was overwhelming. I grabbed my phone and tried calling the police. There was no service. The storm outside was getting worse, it was too dangerous to drive right now or be outside as a matter of fact. If it hadn‘t been for the stupid storm we would have run screaming from the house a while ago. It was the realization that we were stuck here with a corpse, and who knows what else was hidden. As the thunder struck we all jumped, shaken out of our trance.

The tapping sound, I thought I imagined, was heard again but this time it was stronger, louder. I clutched the axe I still had in my hand from breaking the door open. As we turned our heads to look in the mirror it shattered...
