“Let’s run! Quickly!”

We rushed back home as fast as we could and what we saw was unforgettable. Fire. Fire was everywhere. The town was on fire. There were burning cars, houses, people running, screaming, taking stuff, carrying their children. There were soldiers shouting at people and pushing them. We split up in search of our families. I ran into the kitchen and saw my parents quickly packing up our stuff, mostly food. We fled the town as soon as possible and couldn‘t find a better place for a shelter than the forest near the town. We weren‘t the only ones to think the same way. There were other families from the town and that girl again, Amy. Everybody stayed silent, because there wasn‘t any use in talking.

After a couple of hours somebody from our company noticed a person sitting on a log calmly not far from the shelter. You couldn‘t tell if he was terrified or completely unbothered. He was dressed very oddly.
