After a few good tries, Michele opened the door of the carriage, which creaked loudly. Tony jumped a little at the sound, but his braveness returned in a moment. They climbed inside and began looking immediately. Tony shone his flashlight to see under and on the seats, on the floor, in the corners. He held his breath when he noticed a small dark brown box. Leaping towards it, he called out Michele’s name and for her to come there quickly. Tony crouched down, eyes on the box on the underground train seats. Michele crouched down next to him. Her face shone with excitement. Tony breathed out, smiling. He opened the box easily. Both of them gasped.

Inside, a small piece of paper with “You’ve done it. Congratulations, darlings” and what had been on their minds the few recent days hid. Tony’s eyes focused on the beautiful ring. The very same ring his grandfather had used to wear. He exchanged a look with Michele, who beamed just like he did. And then, his gaze returned to the ring. Tony felt like a true adventurer. He made his grandfather be proud. He found it. Tony stared at the ring with admiration and a joyful smile.
