The Great Camp Cook-off Program Aide Training (PA I) - Camp Cookie BuddyUP/ Waterways Apprenticeship BuddyUP/ Waterways Apprenticeship BuddyUP/ Waterways Apprenticeship NEW CADETTE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Program Aide Training (PA-I): This foundational leadership program is for girls who are just starting their leadership journey. PAs mentor younger girls by sharing skills, testing their knowledge and trying out their new roles as budding leaders. Attendees in this program will enjoy traditional camp activities like swimming and hiking, while gaining a deeper understanding of what it takes to lead younger campers in a troop or camp setting. Required experience: None Cost: Prior to 3/31/19 - $200.00 after 4/1/19 - $225.00 Program Aide Apprenticeship (PA-II): This week-long program is designed to build upon the skills built through participation in council-sponsored Program Aide Training or Program Aide Training (PA-I) at Camp Cookie or Promising Acres. Girls will discover the basics of planning and leading programs that can be applied to both troop and camp settings. This experience will provide girls with the skills needed for conflict resolution and group management. These future leaders will also learn about different, individual learning styles along with the developmental characteristics of younger campers. Girls will complete their 6 activity sessions to earn their PA pin, and will be pinned at the end of the week.
