rain for a new career today. Flagler Technical Institute (FTI)
offers career training programs accredited by the Council on
Occupational Education (COE) in Patient Care Assistant, Patient
Care Technician, Medical Administrative Specialist, Medical Coder/
Biller, Medical Assisting, Cosmetology, Facial Specialist, Nail
Specialist, Early Childhood Education, Commercial Vehicle Driving,
Water Treatment Technologies and Building trades such as
Electrician, Heating and Air Conditioning and Landscaping. Financial
aid is available to those who qualify.
Adults wishing to obtain a high school diploma or learn English
can take Adult High School, GED Preparation or ESOL (English for
Speakers of Other Languages) classes. Classes are available
days and evenings as well as online. No matter how long you
have been out of school, FTI’s highly qualified teachers can help
you reach your academic goals. 2017 graduating Flagler County
high school seniors can apply for free.
In addition, FTI offers programs for Adults with Disabilities,
including the Step-Up Sheltered Workshop and the Adult
Activities Center. Parenting education is available through the
New Beginnings program and the Teen-Age Parenting Program
(TAPP).
FTI and Community Education serve Flagler County in many
ways, including the annual Flagler Home & Lifestyle show that is
put together in conjuction with Flagler School district. For more
than 30 years, the Home Show has brought businesses, artists,
community organizations and residents together for an activity-
filled weekend. Proceeds raised help fund student scholarships
