Schools FLAGLER SCHOOLS T he Flagler School District is ready to embark on a second century of educating students. The Flagler County School District is committed to providing a well- rounded education that empowers students to reach their full potential as responsible, ethical and productive citizens in a diverse and changing world. This commitment begins in pre-Kindergarten where students have the opportunity to begin their education with Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten provided at all elementary schools. While in primary and secondary schools, students continue their educational journey with a strong foundation in a core curriculum that prepares them for academic success. In addition to the core curriculum, Flagler County Schools offer classes in music, art and physical education, since a strong exposure to the arts and adopting a healthy lifestyle at an early age contributes to the development of the whole child. Core curriculum is enhanced with opportunities to participate in service learning projects, future and community problem solving and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) based activities. This provides students with the ability to engage in real-world activities that promote civic engagement. Flagler County students can also participate in extracurricular sports, clubs and activities that promote self-esteem, teambuilding and collaboration skills while also preparing them for post- secondary education, entrepreneurship, the military and the workforce.
