ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Who Should Apply • • • • • • Nonprofit organizations, including nonprofit hospitals, that are exempt from Federal income tax under provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code and defined as “not a private foundation” under Section 509(a). Quasi-governmental agencies Public health districts (limit 1 application per public health district) Organizations located in Georgia with programs targeting Georgia residents Previously funded organizations must be in good standing with the Foundation. Staff will determine whether previous grantees sufficiently complied with grantee requirements Given the Foundation’s commitment to vulnerable populations, the Foundation encourages diversity, representation, and inclusivity in the boards, staff and individuals served by the organizations we fund.
