BAPTIST HEALTH MD-ANDERSON CANCER CENTER In 2017, the Jaguars made a $1 million con- tribution, creating a $2.3 million endowment in support of the new state-of-the-art Baptist Health-MD Anderson Cancer Center locat- ed in the heart of Jacksonville. This center opened in July 2018 and is now the leader in cancer treatment in the southeast. It is a single destination for highly coordinated, multidisciplinary cancer care for adults. The Jaguars are proud to be part of a revolution- ary medical center that provides so many in need with advanced care. JACKSONVILLE VETERANS RESOURCE AND REINTEGRATION CENTER AT CITY HALL The Jaguars deeply value and honor the service and sacrifice provided by our nation’s military. To better serve our area veterans, the Jaguars Foundation made a $1 million contribution in 2014 to fund the creation of the Jacksonville Veterans Resource and Reintegration Center at City Hall and gifted a specially branded van to aid in the center’s outreach services to local veterans. In 2018, the center assisted more than 8,500 in northeast Florida in receiving $25.5 million in new benefits. FIRST COAST YMCA As part of a 25-year partnership with the YMCA, the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation recently donated $500,000 to the Winston Family YMCA in Riverside as the sponsor of the gymnasium. The 7,800-square-foot indoor gymnasium includes a full basketball court, two short courts and a volleyball court. The Jaguars have also been long-term partners of the Galimore Community Center and Pool in St. Augustine, named after former NFL player Willie Galimore. Since 1995, the Jaguars Foundation has donated $833,925 to First Coast YMCA. NFL/LISC COMMUNITY FOOTBALL FIELDS Through a partnership with the NFL, LISC-Jacksonville, local city and county governments, nonprofit organizations and youth football associations, the Jaguars have committed to refurbishing and constructing safe and serviceable community football fields throughout northeast Florida. With a total investment of $2.4 million, with a more than $1,000,000 investment coming from the NFL, we are proud to have completed 14 fields with many more to come in the future. UNITED WAY OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS As part of hosting Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, the NFL donated $1 million towards the NFL YET project in Jacksonville. The donation was matched locally by the Jaguars Foundation and other partners at $2 million to construct the Boys and Girls Club NFL YET Center in the Brentwood community. NFL Youth Education Towns (NFL YETs) are educational and recreation centers positioned in troubled neighborhoods in Super Bowl host cities as the lasting legacies of the games. The Jacksonville location has been up and running for more than 10 years and serves over 200 youth annually. Since the Jaguars inaugural season, the Jaguars have donated over $2.3 million to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida and Nassau County. JAGUARS COMMUNITY REPORT Following hurricane Irma’s devastating effects on the First Coast in 2017, owner Shad Khan responded by donating $1 million to United Way’s First Coast Relief Fund to assist in regional recovery efforts. The United Way of Northeast Florida and the Jaguars, along with many other community partners, hosted Hometown Huddle, a community-wide day of service to help in the cleanup efforts. To provide further relief to those affected by the storm, Khan and the team donated 5,000 game tickets to first responders and community members.
