Promoting The Sport JAGUARS PREP Jaguars PREP is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of football using the NFL’s top resources. The goal of the Jaguars PREP programs is to educate youth on the “Way to Play” and the basics of football with a strong emphasis on character development, health, safety and fun. Jaguars PREP includes all youth football programming hosted by the Jacksonville Jaguars throughout the year such as summer camps, Nike 11-On, girls flag football jamboree and the Whataburger High School Coach of the Week. JUNIOR TRAINING CAMP The Jaguars Foundation and Fuel Up to Play 60 are on the road weekly hosting free interactive youth camps at local elementary and middle schools. In the last year alone, 50 in-school camps were held, and we look to expand our reach in 2020. 11-ON In partnership with Nike and Whataburger, the Jaguars Foundation rolled out the first annual Jaguars 11-On Team Challenge in 2019. This two-day event welcomed high school athletes from 16 northeast Florida high schools. It combines individual and team skills competitions, a 7-on-7 tournament, linemen challenges and character develop- ment programming. JAGUARS COMMUNITY REPORT GIRLS FLAG Girls Flag was introduced to get more girls active and involved in sports as well as give girls the equal opportunity to play football. Ten different area high schools and more than 200 female athletes participate in the annual Girls Flag Football Jamboree each February. The program is designed to pro- mote high character development, healthy competition and self-confidence. NFL FLAG The Jaguars selected Duval Dynasty, the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida’s NFL FLAG all-star team, to represent Jacksonville at the NFL FLAG Championships in Orlando. The championship tournament was held in late January in conjunction with the NFL’s Pro Bowl Week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. CB Jalen Ramsey partnered with Nike Jordan brand to give each competi- tor a brand-new pair of Jordan football cleats to wear during the competition. Last season, RB Leonard Fournette surprised each mem- ber of the Duval Dynasty with a pair of Under Armour cleats prior to the championship.
