CITY OF JACKSONVILLE
In 2014, the Jaguars donated $1 million as
part of a five-year commitment to fund the
City of Jacksonville’s Veterans Resource and
Reintegration Center at City Hall. As part of
the partnership with the City of Jacksonville,
the Jaguars Foundation also provides addi-
tional grants to local non-profit organizations
to help the center’s clients receive addi-
tional support such as emergency financial
assistance, career assistance and military
spouse and family support. To date, more
than $150,000 in grants has been provided to
various organizations throughout the
First Coast.
MILITARY APPRECIATION GAME
Salute to Service week culminated with the
Military Appreciation Game sponsored by
CSX. The Jaguars donated more than 5,000
tickets to their December 2 game against the
Indianapolis Colts to active, retired and re-
servist military personnel and their families.
On this special day, the Jaguars honored our
First Coast heroes with a game-day tribute
to all who have served in uniform. Members
of all five branches of the military participat-
ed in pregame and halftime events. During
pregame, the Jaguars recognized seven local
heroes who suffered injuries while serving,
a U.S. Air Force Veteran performed the Na-
tional Anthem and purple heart recipient and
Jaguars Strength and Conditioning Associate,
Sean Karpf, led fans with the first “DUUUVAL”
of the game. At halftime, the Jaguars held an
on-field mass enlistment ceremony where
250 recruits made a commitment to each of
the five branches of the U.S. Military.
