Military & Veterans
Community
The military is synonymous with Jacksonville, and we are proud to support our military community and honor
members of the armed services at every home game. During each game, the Jaguars recognize a hometown hero and
select a military bell ringer to kick off the fourth quarter. In partnership with UPS and the Greater Jacksonville Area
USO, the Jaguars Foundation provides more than 100 tickets per game to local military families who have a loved one
on deployment. In addition, the Jaguars provide over 1,600 discounted tickets to military veterans and their families
for each game.
SALUTE TO SERVICE WEEK
The Jaguars dedicate an entire week of
events in November to honor military and
veterans from various branches. During the
3rd Annual Salute to Service campaign –
presented by CSX, over 50 active players,
staff, cheerleaders and alumni showed their
appreciation for our armed forces by visiting
their place of work to better understand
their day-to-day duties and also held various
events for military members, children and
families throughout the week, culminating
with the Jaguars vs. Colts game in December,
2018.
Veteran’s Day Parade - Thousands lined the
streets for the annual Veterans Day Parade
where the Jaguars-themed float made its ap-
pearance, featuring Jaguars D-Line, JAX Pack
members, Jaxson de Ville, members of THE
ROAR, alumni players and military veterans
from Five Star Veterans Center and CSX.
Battleship Tour - Jaguars players and
THE ROAR visited with the crew of the USS
Thomas Hudner at Naval Station Mayport and
observed operations of the new naval combat
ship with 310 sailors stationed abroad.
Topgolf with Wounded Warrior Project -
This was the first year the Jaguars hosted
Wounded Warrior Project veterans and their
families at Topgolf for a fun night of golf
and story sharing with Jaguars players and
cheerleaders. On behalf of the players, the
Jaguars surprised each veteran with brand
new Bose speakers.
“Stars and Strikes” - The Jaguars Foundation
hosted a “Stars and Strikes” bowling event
on site at Naval Station Mayport for active
duty Navy and Coast Guard members and
their families. Calais Campbell, Myles Jack
and Logan Cooke showed off their bowling
skills, signed autographs and took photos
with members and families.
Military Base Visit - Several Jaguars players
and THE ROAR paid a visit to Naval Air Sta-
tion Jacksonville greeting sailors and logging
some air time in a helicopter simulator.
Players and cheerleaders also visited the
hangar that houses battle helicopters where
players signed autographs and took photos
with hundreds of sailors.
Military Spouse Appreciation Night -
Jaguars safety Cody Davis and his wife,
Ashley, welcomed 115 military spouses to the
stadium for an evening reception including
food, gifts and massages. Davis was joined
by his teammates to say thank you for the
sacrifices military families make every day.
Private Movie Screening - Jaguars players
partnered with various organizations to host
a private movie screening of the film “Wreck-
It Ralph 2” for 150 military family members.
Each guest received a movie ticket, popcorn,
a hot dog and a drink, and the opportunity to
meet Jaguars players and THE ROAR.
“Pros vs GI Joes” - Jaguars players put their
video game skills to the test as they chal-
lenged 20 soldiers and marines in a game
of Madden. The “Pros vs GI Joes” event was
held at TIAA Bank Field in conjunction with
the Joint Forces Initiative.
St. Michael’s Soldiers - The Jaguars
Foundation and Jaguars staff partnered with
St. Michael’s Soldiers non-profit group to
assist in stuffing, packing and shipping hun-
dreds of care packages to deployed men and
women soldiers.
