National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention:
The SAMHSA-funded public-private partnership
charged with advancing the 2012 National
Strategy for Suicide Prevention and achieving a
goal of reducing the annual suicide rate by
20 percent by 2025. The Action Alliance seeks to
achieve this goal by transforming health systems,
supporting community-based efforts, and changing
the conversation around suicide.
National Recommendations for Depicting
Suicide: An initiative of the National Action Alliance
for Suicide Prevention focused on helping the
media depict suicide responsibly to encourage
people to seek help, dispel myths, and reinforce
hope.
Action Alliance Framework for Successful
Messaging: A resource to help people
communicating about suicide develop messages
that are strategic, safe, and positive, and that make
use of relevant guidelines and best practices.
