Summer Internships
Each summer, Anderson Ranch provides a variety of internship opportunities in conjunction with summer workshops. The effort and
teamwork of talented interns in artistic and administrative departments help to provide the high-quality learning experience for which the
Ranch is known. Interns become a part of the Ranch family to uncover, develop and stretch their creative spirits in the visual arts. Interns
not only assist in summer workshops and events, but also work and connect with artists and gifted instructors in a supportive community.
Studio and administrative internships are offered. Applications are due March 2, 2018. For more information on becoming a summer
intern, visit andersonranch.org. If you are interested in sponsoring a summer intern, please contact Development Director,
Hannah Thompson, [email protected], 970.923.3181, ext 212.
Spring & Fall Artists-In-Residence Program
Anderson Ranch’s Artists-in-Residence Program fosters creative, intellectual and professional growth for emerging and established visual
artists. Residents have access to world-class facilities and 10 weeks of studio time, free from everyday pressures. Residents can pursue
interdisciplinary projects among a community of working artists, and gain feedback from prominent Visiting Artists and Critics. The Ranch
setting is specifically crafted to aid artists in the production of their work. Residencies are offered in ceramics, new media, photography,
furniture design, woodworking, painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture.
An independent jury of established working artists, critics and curators chooses finalists based on artistic merit. Residencies are offered
to a total of 28 emerging and established artists split between two terms each year: spring and fall. The application for both terms
must be submitted online by February 15, 2018. Visit andersonranch.org for more information.
January Studio Concentration
Experience the magic of Anderson Ranch during the January Studio Concentration, a three-week program specifically designed for artists
to immerse themselves in the studio practice of their choice while working alongside established faculty. Guest faculty teach Monday,
Wednesday and Friday, allowing for students’ solo studio practice on Tuesday and Thursday. Students have 24-hour access to a personal
studio space, ideal for fostering experimentation and implementing ideas and conceptual suggestions from faculty. An array of studio
mediums are offered. For more information, please visit andersonranch.org.
