Throughout our history, Anderson Ranch has served as a catalyst for the exchange
of ideas and for deeper understanding of art making. We welcome artists of all
levels, from beginner to advanced, to take part in our workshops.

Anderson Ranch encourages you to expand and develop your artistic skill
set by taking one of our exceptional “Open to All” workshops. Perhaps
you’ve always dreamed of becoming a painter or a potter, working with
wood or metal, or increasing your photography skills. This is your chance!
At the Ranch, working artists join first-time students in exploring multi-level
projects designed to meet all interests and individual skills. Join us—sign
up for a class that speaks to you, and make your dream a reality.
The best way to start is always at the beginning
For students with no formal training, imagine taking your first art workshop
or exploring a new studio practice under the direction of a skilled instructor
at Anderson Ranch. Our beginner workshops are specifically designed for
students who are new to a particular discipline. You will learn the basic
skills necessary to move into more advanced classes that pique your
curiosity. Beginner workshops are identified as SKILL LEVEL I courses
throughout the catalog.
