Through a combination of classroom lectures , feedback sessions and on-location photo shoots , students delve into the Aspen area with fresh eyes , whether you are a local or it ’ s your first time to the area . We cover the practical planning side of travel photography and discover why serendipity and the willingness to open yourself to new encounters can make the difference in your images and your travel experience .

Each outing is designed to touch on different aspects of travel photography , from landscapes and scenics to culture and people . We discuss the different equipment needed for each location and work to understand our equipment so that the technical becomes second nature . While in the field , students have access to the instructor for immediate feedback in improving your travel images .
